What Dial House @Touchstone offers
Dial House @Touchstone is a partnership between Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service (LSLCS) and Touchstone made possible following the award of £500k Lottery funding for five years, and has no gained mainstream funding. The project first opened to new visitors on 1st October 2013 at the Touchstone Support Centre in Harehills.
It’s open every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6pm to 12am, offering support and social time. It brings together LSLCS’s expertise in providing crisis services and Touchstone’s experience of supporting culturally diverse people. The service provides out-of-hours crisis services to people from culturally diverse communities in acute mental health crisis and is staffed by a Manager, Senior Crisis Support Worker and three Crisis Support Workers who are all culturally diverse.
The last Thursday of the month is a social night, phone lines opening from 7.30pm. It’s a great night to see the Dial House @Touchstone community all come together.
The service is held in a place of sanctuary and provides emotional support and information. Dial House @Touchstone staff also work at Dial House in Halton. The aim is to provide a culturally specific service at Dial House @Touchstone whilst providing a reciprocal bridge to our Halton site. Dial House @Touchstone is for anyone from a culturally diverse background, including refugees and asylum seekers. Dial House @Touchstone is committed to safeguarding children and adults.
